In this video I show what are my 8 Recommended Steps For Best Results for Old Jetski Restoration when cleaning up the appearance of a ski that has been sitting for years. Please checkout my Kit.co page for all of the Products, tools, and Accessories I use and recommend here: https://kit.co/stealthperformance Old Jetski Restoration: 8 Recommended Steps For Best Results Step 1: Citristrip or equivalent adhesive remover for removing old foot pads, old stickers and decals, and adhesive. Step 2: 3M Marine Rubbing Compound to remove black marks, blemishes, and top oxidized layer. Step 3: 3M Medium Polish & Wax to remove more oxidation and haze from rubbing compound and help to bring out the shine. Step 4: 3M Marine Liquid Wax to bring out the best shine and protect the finish for future use. If you are putting new traction mats on try to keep the wax off of the new pad stick surface area. I like to wax before putting pads on because its easier to cover more surface area w/ less obstructions and you don't get white residue on the New pads. Step 5: After waxing you need to remove any wax residue and dirt and debri from the foot pad adhesion surface area, with Brake Clean or Alcohol. This is also helpful for the epoxy filling the rivet holes to bond better. Step 6: Since alot of Seadoos have used riveted foot pads this next step is more specific to Seadoos. I use JB Weld Clear Weld 2 Part Epoxy or any fast setting clear epoxy to go over and fill the open rivet holes so water in the foot wells doesn't leak into the ski. Step 7: New Traction Mat install time, You need masking tape, spacers, and a laminate roller for this step. Make sure the epoxy that is filling the rivet holes is cured before installing the New foot pads. Step 8: Use Marine 31 or Linseed Oil to remove mold from steering cover and rear grab handle(Best to remove them to do that) and try Marine 31 Mold Mildew remover to remove mold on original seat cover(also best to remove seat to clean). If the mold is too hard to remove then you can install a Blacktip neoprene black or custom color steering cover and basic or custom seat cover on the seat. If the grab handle is too hard to remove mold from then painting it is the best option or replacing it with one in better shape. In this video I explain and give the answers to the questions Why Am I Missing A Drain Plug? and Why Do I Have 3 Ports On My Seadoo? The newer Seadoos typically have two hull drains at the very lowest point of the rear of the hull, one on either side of the hull. Then they repositioned the flush port to a more accessible location than deep in the area where the pump is mounted, to the back section of the hull a little higher than the hull drains. On a Seadoo Spark they have a hull drain on one side of the ride plate below the jet pump and on the opposite side is the exhaust flush port. So on a Seadoo Spark they only have one hull drain and one flush port, not 3 ports. Welcome back to my channel! Today's video is all about the long-awaited moment – removing my half leg cast! If you've ever been curious about what it's like to finally say goodbye to that cumbersome cast, you're in for a treat. First things first, let's talk about the cast saw. Many of you might have wondered how it's possible to safely cut through that tough cast material without harming the skin underneath. Well, the cast saw primarily works by cutting through solid materials, making it safe for the hard cast but not as effective if it were to come in contact with skin or soft materials. It's truly a marvel of modern medical technology! Once the cast is cut open, the next step is where the magic happens – enter the cast spreader tool. This nifty tool is used to gently split the two cut sections apart, giving us access to what's underneath. But before we can fully unveil the condition of my leg, foot, or whatever the cast is covering, we need to deal with the layers underneath. With the help of scissors, we carefully cut through the soft cotton layer and the anti-itch sock that's sandwiched between the cotton and the skin. Ah, sweet relief! Finally, we can see the condition of the skin underneath, along with some inevitable dead skin that has accumulated over time. And yes, we can finally reach that itchy spot we've been longing to scratch! But the journey doesn't end there. I was surprised to find that my foot was still rather swollen upon cast removal, a testament to the healing process that's still underway. Plus, my leg was incredibly stiff from being immobilized for so long – a reminder of the importance of gentle movement and rehabilitation post-injury. This injury was a result of a mishap while climbing in and out of boats, serving as a stark reminder that accidents can happen even when we're being as careful as possible. So, let this be a lesson to all of us to prioritize safety and mindfulness in all our activities. I hope you enjoyed witnessing the process of both the cast installation and removal. In this video I show how to repair a Seadoo Jetski No Start No Spark issue on a customers 1996 Seadoo GSX 787 ski. It turned out that when he was riding the ski on the water that the Ignition pulser coil sensor had broken off of its bracket inside the Mag housing and caused the ignition coil to not get the reference signal it needed to fire the coil properly. This is a pretty common problem on the 787 Engine Seadoo skis between 1994-1998. Hey, YouTube fam! 👋 Today, I'm sharing my personal experience of rolling my ankle and getting a fractured ankle, leading to getting a short leg cast installed. I rolled my ankle while getting into a boat while servicing it for a customer – talk about unexpected twists! After experiencing severe swelling, I headed to an urgent care clinic for X-rays, and the results confirmed a fracture. The journey continued as I visited the Orthopedic office, where I got to choose the color of my short leg cast. I went with Blue, my absolute favorite color! 🟦 Which color would you choose from the options listed? In this video, I'll guide you through the steps of installing a short leg cast, providing valuable insights into the process.
